Romar Quitasol
Making in Namibia what we used to import.
Mechanical engineer. Founder of Printhoek 3D. Windhoek, Namibia.
What I run with my team
- Printhoek 3D: scanning, reverse engineering, design and manufacturing
- CuttingEdge3D: 3D printers, scanners and materials for Namibia
The problem
- A part breaks. The replacement is overseas. The machine sits idle for weeks.
- We scan it, redesign it, and make it here. Days, not weeks.
- Every part made locally is downtime nobody has to pay for.
